When White Mountain Regional Medical Center’s employees say goodbye to their children
each morning, they do not get that “uneasy” feeling some parents experience when
dropping their children off at day care. That is because our employee’s know that
their children will be only a short distance away from where they work.
In November of 2008, White Mountain Regional Medical Center opened an after-school
and day care facility for the children of employees. The only requirement is that
the parent or guardian be an employee of White Mountain Regional Medical Center
and that they must be on campus while their child(ren) are at day care.
The Child Care Center provides an environment for the physical, social and mental
development of children. The center and curriculum are designed to stimulate growth
through a balance of guided and self-directed activities, which stimulate a child’s
natural curiosity and aid children in the development of an excellent foundation
for creative learning.
Each child is given the opportunity for individual development through an environment
that fosters opportunities to develop self-confidence, curiosity, sensory-motor
skills, social skills, skill development and creativity and imagination.
