Nursing Preceptor - INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

The Preceptor position is a teaching/mentoring position requiring reciprocity, mutual respect, clear expectations, personal connection and shared values for nursing practice.  Sufficient clinical experience and knowledge of facility policies and procedures is essential. The Preceptor understands and facilitates WMRMC’s Nursing Behavioral Standards, and acts in accordance with these standards.  The preceptor demonstrates a commitment to the practice of nursing and bringing new nurses successfully into the shared community of nursing practice.

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

This role is an extra assignment in addition to role as detailed in job title/description. This role is assigned by the Nursing Administrative Assistant with oversight by the Nurse Managers and/or DON/CNO.

Required Education
Nursing: Associates Degree in Nursing
CNA: Current CNA licensure
PCT: Current EMT/Paramedic Licensure

Required Licensees and Certifications
Valid Licensure as a Registered Nurse, CNA, EMT or Paramedic in the State of Arizona
Certifications within 30 days of hire as listed: Basic Life Support (BLS) & For RN's - ACLS and PALS
